Joseph V. Piscione, of Coventry, Dies at 79

Born on December 23, 1941, in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph P. and Pasqualina “Helen” (Carroccia) Piscione. He was raised in Warwick and was a graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School.
Following high school, Joe attended Johnson and Wales University. While in college, Joe met his future wife, Bernice. He graduated from Johnson and Wales, receiving his Associate's Degree.

After some time, he switched careers and became a Sales Manager for Prudential Financial, where he specialized in insurance. Joe worked for many years at Prudential, where he retired at 55 years old from the company. In his retirement, Joe stayed busy by working at Foxwoods Casino as a Promotions Manager. He truly loved that job and liked interacting with customers.
In his spare time, Joe enjoyed spending time at Healthtrax, visiting the casinos to play slot machines with his wife, and painting. In his younger years, he enjoyed cruising around on his boat. Above all, Joe relished the time spent and memories made with his dear family, especially his loving great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Joe is survived by his daughter, Maria Montalban and her husband Claudio; his granddaughter, Marissa McGill and her husband Christopher; his great-grandchildren, Greyson and Mariella “Ella” McGill; his sister, Barbara Mills; and also many friends and extended family members.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joe’s Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 11:00 am at Saints John and Paul Church, 341 South Main Street, Coventry.
