Jane Marie (Conrick) Dyer, 86, of Bristol, RI, passed away, Friday, October 8, 2021 at East Gate Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, East Providence, RI.

She was the wife of Charles Joseph Dyer to whom she had been married to for 62 years.

Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine "Jo" (Brogan) Conrick.

Jane was a graduate of Warren High School, Class of 1953, the University of Rhode Island, Class of 1957, and Rhode Island College, Class of 1980, where she received her Master's in education. She had worked as a teacher in Newton, MA, and Berkley, NJ. She had previously lived in Mendham, NJ, Barrington, RI, Warren, RI, and Little Compton, RI. She had volunteered with many organizations for the developmentally disabled, including the NJ Brain Injured Children, the Barrington Special Education Committee, the RI Disability Law Center, Bristol County Chapter for Mentally Retarded Citizens, RI Chapter for Autism, and the Groden Center. Jane was an only child, who cared for her elderly parents and relatives and her husband's mother and aunt. Jane was a Communicant of St. Mary of the Bay Church in Warren.

It was her selflessness for which she may be best remembered. She was always thinking of others, always helping others. Her kind, gentle spirit will be missed but lives on in the hearts of the people she touched.
