Irene R. (Sabella) L'Abbe, of Johnston, Dies at 102
She was the wife of the late Rudolph L’Abbe, and a daughter of Antonio Sr. and Rosina (Cicchetti) Sabella.
Irene was a graduate of the former Felt & Tarrant Business School in Downtown Providence. She worked as a Comptometer Operator & Clerk for H.P. Hood & Sons. Irene also did Comptometer services for various companies for income tax preparation. In later years, she worked as a jewelry inspector for Swarovski.

She is survived by her nephew and primary caregiver, Anthony Miele of Cranston, and many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Irene was the last surviving member of nine children: The late Celestina Giorgio, Jennie Miele, Rose Sanzi, Elisa D’Ambra, Marie Sabitoni, Felix Sabella, Antonio Sabella, Jr., and Albert Sabella.
Her funeral will be held from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco’s Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Visiting Hours are on Tuesday from 4:00-6:30 p.m. Masks are required.
