Guilhermina Pinheiro Amaral, of E. Providence, Dies at 92

Born on September 10, 1928, in Vila Povocao, Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Joao Da Costa Pinheiro and Rosa DeJesus (Medeiros) Pinheiro.
She had worked as an assembler for Davol Rubber Company for 22 years retiring in 1990 and was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. Guilhermina enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and cooking for her family and was happiest when sharing time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Veneranda Carvalho of Seekonk, Fatima Rocha of FL, Rosa Alves of East Providence, Alzira Mateus of Seekonk, Cathy Simmons of N. Providence, John J. Amaral of Portsmouth, Joseph A. Amaral of East Providence, Armand P. Amaral of Johnston. She was the beloved grandmother of 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Armondo Pinheiro, Ilda Pinheiro, Gloria Pinheiro and Georgina Rocha. She was predeceased by her loving grandson Jason Amaral.
Her funeral will begin on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 9:15 am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 81 N. Carpenter Street, East Providence.
Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 pm.
