George John Wilson, Jr, of South Kingstown, Passes at 60

George John Wilson, Jr, 60, of South Kingstown, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. George was born in Albuquerque, NM on April 26, 1961, and was the beloved son of the late George J. Wilson, Sr. of Greenville, MS, and Royce E. (Clark) Wilson of Albuquerque, NM.

He is survived by his only sibling Eugene Wilson and wife Tracey of South Kingstown, his adored children Casey, Tayler, and Charlie of New Jersey, two twin granddaughters Monica and Jamie, cherished nieces Abigail and Savannah, and cherished nephew and godson James.

George studied at New Mexico Highlands University where he played football for the Cowboys and earned his BA degree at New England Tech in Business Management. George loved playing video games and was an exceptional word game player. He was an avid sports fan and was a passionate Lakers fan. He loved socializing and meeting new people. He had a keen appreciation for the culinary experience and worked as a Chef as he loved food and preparing dishes for people. He volunteered for the last 5 years at Peace Dale Congregational Church making meals for the homeless.

George will be remembered as a thoughtful, loving, kindhearted person who was always willing to help and be there for others. He was extremely spiritual and started each day by reading the bible. He had an infectious smile and a great sense of humor and will be sorely missed.

Visiting hours will be held at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, on Monday, July 26, 2021, from 11-1.

A Celebration of life will be held at Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street, Wakefield on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at 1 pm.

Burial will be private.
