Gary William Moone, Passes at 67

Moone, Gary W., 67, of Linda Lane, Stonington, Connecticut, a retired carpenter at Electric Boat, Groton, passed away at home on Friday, October 8, 2021.

Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Edmond W. and Elizabeth M. (Stute) Moone. Gary was the father of Derrick W. Moone (Kristen) of West Warwick and Melisa A. Moone (Keith) of Brooklyn, CT. He was the grandfather of Zachery, Isaiah, Jacob Moone, and Leito DeMaio II and the great-grandfather of Malakia and Alijah Moone. Gary was the brother of Richard E. Moone (Gayle) of West Kingston and  Jeffrey G. Moone (Dawn) of Warwick. 

Gary graduated from Coventry High School in 1974. He went on to employment as a carpenter at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton for 45 years before retiring in 2019. Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, with a Service at 11:00 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry.

Interment at Woodland Cemetery in Coventry.
