Frances Julia Amico, of Warwick, Passes at 106

Frances J. Amico, 106, of Warwick, passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at Brentwood Nursing Home.

Born in Carbondale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Santa (Scalzo) Greco. She was the loving wife of the late Jerome Amico.

Frances worked as a clerk for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company until her retirement. She was a parishioner of St. Rose and Clement Parish and had a strong devotion to the Rosary, serving as an active member of the St. Clement Rosary Society. She was also a longtime volunteer at St. Rose of Lima School, St. Kevin School, and the Park School in Warwick. She loved spending her free time crocheting and participating at the Pilgrim Senior Center. An extremely positive and loving person, she brought joy to everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved son, Peter Amico of Warwick, her nephew, Sam Maida of New Jersey, her niece, Ann Greco of North Carolina, and her dear friends, Judy Santos of East Greenwich and Aida Phillip of Warwick.

She was the sister of the late Bernard Greco, Joseph Greco, Mary Maida, Concetta Conigliaro, Teresa Ali, Josephine Prucha, and Stella DeMuro.

Her Funeral will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at 8:45 am from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 am, at St. Kevin Church, 333 Sandy Lane, Warwick.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105, are greatly appreciated.
