Evelyn L. Sala, of West Warwick, Passes at 78

Evelyn L. Sala, 78, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. 

She was the loving wife of Anthony J. Sala.

Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Victor J. and Blanche (Doucet) Lowell.

Evelyn worked as an Accounting Clerk at Centreville Bank for many years. She loved spending time tending to her gardens and shopping for clothes and things to beautify her home. 

She was the mother of Sharon Gilmore, Charles R. Myers Jr., and his wife Laura, and Phillip R. Myers, and his wife Jennifer. Evelyn is survived by her siblings, Claire E. Mercier, Helen R. Pierce, Paul R. Lowell, Anita V. Woodruff, Wayne Lowell, Diane Hopkins. Grandmother of 6, great-grandmother of 3. She was predeceased by her brothers Leo and Henry Lowell. 

Evelyn’s Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021, at 10:00 am in St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Evelyn’s memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society would be appreciated.
