Dorothy L. (Hawthorne) Johnson, of Warwick, Passes at 84

Dorothy L. (Hawthorne) Johnson, 84, of Warwick, passed away peacefully with family at her side at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston on Friday, October 15th.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Confreda) Hawthorne. She was the loving wife of the late Eugene W. Johnson.
Dorothy worked as a secretary and in customer service for the F.W. Woolworth Company until her retirement. Always hardworking and determined, she continued to work in accounting even into her retirement. A three-time cancer survivor, Dorothy was a hero to many. She was admired for her strength and determination in the face of adversity. She loved to travel and socialize with others. She will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She is survived by her beloved children, Lori J. Piscopio (Joseph) of Warwick and Michael E. Johnson (Molly) of Cambridge, MA, her brother, Frederick Hawthorne of Henderson, NV, her grandchildren, Emily Lincoln of Santa Cruz, CA, and Henry Johnson-Cramer of Rohnert Park, CA, and many cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
She was the sister of the late Albert Hawthorne and William Hawthorne.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 12 Noon at The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
Interment will follow at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 am -12 Noon.
