Director at Aids Care Ocean State, Barbara Elizabeth Valliere, Passes at 64

Valliere, Barbara E., 64, of Plainville, MA., a Director at Aids Care Ocean State, passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital after a brief illness on Saturday, October 16, 2021.

Born in Warwick, she was a daughter of Gladys P. (Snow) Valliere of West Warwick and the late Normand J. Valliere; and the sister of Cheryl A. Marcella (Alan) of Coventry, Normand J. Valliere Jr. of West Greenwich, Ronald Valliere in Florida, and Robert A. Valliere (Kristen) of West Warwick. Barbara was the life partner of Joanne Allen. She is also survived by 7 nieces & nephews; 9 great-nieces & nephews. 

Barbara graduated from Coventry High School in 1975. She earned an Associate’s Degree from Bristol Community College. She was employed for over 20 years at Aids Care Ocean State in Providence. Barbara loved spending time with her family, friends, and her dog “Gianna”.

Visiting hours are Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am in the Iannotti Funeral Home at Maple Root, 2000 Nooseneck Hill Rd. (Rte.3) Coventry, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in Saints John & Paul Church.

Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery in West Greenwich.
