David Roger Monica Dies at 34

David Roger Monica passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at the age of 34.

David was the loving son of Robin S. and Stephen H. and brother of the late Jeffrey S. Monica. He was a dedicated partner to his girlfriend, his “Sweetie”, of 8 years, Rebecca H. Iselin. David was born on April 16, 1988 in Providence. He was a graduate of North Kingstown High School class of 2006 and attended Rhode Island College where he studied history. He was a friend of Bill W. and a certified recovery coach, employed at Adcare Rehabilitation and Treatment Facility in North Kingstown.

David was a dedicated British Premier League, Red Sox, and Patriots fan. He looked forward to annual camping trips with Rebecca, where he enjoyed hiking the White Mountains. He loved going to Disney destinations and all things Star Wars. David was a creative mind and problem solver who prided himself on his ability to grill the best hot dog.

David was a lifelong communicant of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. Serving in the junior choir, acolyte and Sunday school teacher in his younger years.

David was a kind, selfless, and sensitive person who would help anyone in need. He loved his family and Rebecca very much. He will be deeply missed and will now rest in peace next to his brother Jeff.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 10 am at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 111 West Shore Road, Warwick.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church would be greatly appreciated.
