He was the devoted husband of Debbie (Gorman) Brown; adored father of Allison (Brown) Munafo and her husband Peyton of Greenville, SC, and cherished grandfather of Raleigh & Smyth Munafo.
Born in Enfield, CT, he was the son of Pauline (Turgeon) Brown and the late Raleigh Brown, Jr. He was the dear brother of Cynthia Brown.
After graduating from AIC with a B.S. and Western New England with an M.B.A, David spent his entire professional career as an accountant and banker, specializing in the automotive industry. David’s lifelong passion was sailing, and his family has many memories together on Block Island and Long Island Sound, traveling to places like Newport, Shelter Island, and Montauk. He dreamed of teaching his young grandchildren how to sail on Salt Pond, just like his father taught him. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
