David A. Lombardi Dies at 29

David A. Lombardi, age 29, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. He was the cherished son of Martha (Malynn) Lombardi and the late David J. Lombardi, and beloved older brother of Benjamin Lombardi and Leah Lombardi.
David began his battle with cancer in 1999 at the age of six. After successful treatment he enjoyed a happy childhood participating in little league baseball, school band, and consistent appearance on the honor roll. Shortly after beginning high school, David was faced with a recurrence of cancer.
Despite the intense treatment for his tumor, he went on to graduate North Kingstown High School in 2011 and Stonehill College in 2015. During David’s four years at Stonehill, he played Ultimate Frisbee and walked the annual Relay for Life event, captaining a team in his senior year.
Following graduation, David began work in his studied field of marketing, but soon found himself in pursuit of work in healthcare. He earned his professional coder certification and started a new career at Lifespan. In later 2017, David found himself once again in a fight with cancer, a battle he bravely withstood for the final five years of his life.
Despite significant physical challenges, David never lost his positive outlook or wavered in his determination to continue on. His quiet humor, indomitable spirit, and innate kindness were an inspiration to all who knew him.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Saturday, July 23, 2022 from 8:30-10 am in Fagan-Quinn Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Rd., North Kingstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Bernard Church, 275 Tower Hill Rd., North Kingstown. His burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
