Coast Guard Veteran, Jeffrey E. Palmer, of Providence, Dies at 75

Jeffrey E. Palmer, age 75, of Providence, died peacefully at home, on October 26, 2021.

He was the husband of Deborah (Onuschak) Lautieri of 22 years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Everett and Norma (Palmer) Duval.

He proudly served our country with the US Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. Jeffrey worked as a Roads and Bridges Engineer for the RI Department of Transportation. He enjoyed his life and was happiest when spending time with his family and friends. He liked bowling, golfing, and saltwater fishing. He loved his labs especially his dog Caesar. He also took extreme pride in tending to his tomato garden.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Heather Palmer (Michael Chatelle) of Riverside, Melissa Boyd (Shawn) of Wakefield, Cindy Husnander of Myrtle Beach, SC, Daniel Lautieri (Heidi) of Plainfield, CT, Gregory Lautieri (Beth) of Dickinson, TX, Dustin Lautieri (Melissa) of Rural Hall, NC, 13 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his granddaughter Erica Wilson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Saturday from 4-7 pm at the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence.

Burial with Military Honors at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be Private.
