Claire B (McCarthy) Bauer, of North Scituate, Passes at 95

Claire B. (McCarthy) Bauer, 95, of North Scituate, RI, formerly of Greenville, RI, passed away peacefully at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Susan Bauer.

Born in Providence, Claire was the daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian (Riley) McCarthy.

Claire worked at the Harmony Hill School in Harmony, RI for 32 years retiring at age 82. Claire loved her New England sports teams, her Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, but especially her beloved Red Sox- Go Red Sox!!!

Claire was a woman of great perseverance, fortitude, spirituality, and her love of her family.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debra Bauer, daughter, Andrea Carey, son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Susan Bauer, her granddaughters, Erin Hayes and her husband Michael, Nichole Lavender and her husband Jon and Arianna Bauer, two great-grandsons, Ryan and Eli Hayes and her nephew Michael McCarthy and beloved niece Sheila Fournier and her husband Joseph, as well as her furry grandchildren Nyla, Kingston, and Seamus.

Claire was the mother of the late Ronald F. Bauer.

Funeral will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 144 Danielson Pike, Scituate.

Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
