Charles Maxime Lury, of Warwick, Dies at 82

He was the loving husband of Mary (Machado) Lury for sixty years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late George Lury and Gertrude Lury-Nirk.
Always a hard worker, Charles worked for many years for Meineke Mufflers as a mechanic until he had a major stroke at the age of 51. He was a devoted and caring husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. His wonderful personality and sense of humor will be greatly missed.
In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by his daughters, Paula Gonsalves (Joseph) of Warwick, Tina Morris (Joseph) of Warwick, Cheryl Morris (Robert) of Cranston, Lisa Garcia (the late Elvis Garcia) of Cranston, and his one son, Charles M. Lury, Jr. of West Warwick, his brother, John Nirk, Sr. of Pawtucket, his sisters, Judith Savage of Florida, Adelene Melvin of California, and Freda Lury of North Kingstown, twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Alice (Lury) Machccio, Gertrude (Lury) Gilmore, George Lury, and Henry Nirk.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 1:00 pm at The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm.
Interment will take place at Pawtuxet Memorial Park Cemetery, Warwick.
