Carol Kirby, 62, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Narragansett, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Forrest & Mary Richardson.

Carol worked as a bus monitor, daycare teacher, and cafeteria staff member for many years in Narragansett. In Florida, she worked at Belleview Playland and Learning Center. She was also cherished by many friends across the country made through the Facebook group Pandaholics.

She is survived by her loving children, Shaun Kirby, and Christina Sylvia and her husband Kyle; her sister, Sandra Russo and her husband Tony and her brother, Dennis Richardson.

Our mom is best remembered as a kind and generous woman. We remember staying on the bus while mom completed the school routes for all the schools in Narragansett. We remember how every Friday, regardless of how little money she had at the time, mom would buy us a VHS movie to watch on the weekend. We remember how we were dragged across town to Tupperware parties and Christmas gatherings with family and friends. We remember that no matter where we went in our lives, she only wanted to make sure we were safe. Such are the memories we will hold close when thinking about mom.

A memorial service will be held on December 11, 2021 10 am at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Rd, Narragansett, RI 02882.

Burial will be private. A private celebration of life ceremony will follow.
