Army Veteran, Robert Aloysius Murphy, of Westerly, Passes at 75

Born in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Robert A. Murphy, Sr., and Ella (Devlin) Murphy.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and went on to work as a Clerk for the Doubleday Publishing Company in Garden City, NY. He was an active volunteer with the Salvation Army. A loving and caring man, his legacy will be one of kindness.
He is survived by his beloved sister, Dianne Hall of Richmond, and his many nieces and nephews, Charles N. Hall, Richard Hall II, Irene Watts, Erin Murphy Cannon, Dennis Murphy, and Jason Murphy.
His Funeral Service with Military Honors will be private.
Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory to The Salvation Army, are greatly appreciated.
