Antonio J. Soares, of Woonsocket, Passes at 74

He was the husband of Carolina M. Correira. They have been married for 55 years.
Born in Mangualde, Portugal, he was the son of the late Samuel and Emilia (Correia) Soares. Tony resided in Woonsocket for the past 2 years, previously residing in Cumberland.

He was a kind and caring gentleman who always put others before himself. Antonio had a way to put a smile on people's faces. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was employed for the former Standard Nut & Bolt, Cumberland for many years until his retirement in 1967.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter Victoria Sallah of Woonsocket and his one brother Americo Soares of Cumberland. One grandson Dylan Sallah of Woonsocket along with several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Emily Soares. He was also the brother of the late Adlaide Marques.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Antonio's Life Celebration to begin with Visiting Hours on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, from 6 pm to 8 pm and continuing on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at 9 am in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland.
A Prayer Service will be held at 10 am.
Burial will be held in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
