Anthony D. Manzolillo, 79, of Johnston passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at Kent Hospital. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Louis and Rosina “Rose” (Stanzione) Manzolillo. He is the beloved husband of Carol (Wilcox) Manzolillo, they were married for 49 years, which all started with a blind date.

Tony was known for his magnetic personality. He made friends easily everywhere he went. His passion for life was only rivaled by the pride he took in everything he did. His athleticism was always an instrumental part of his life from running a marathon and biking 100 miles (at least 4 times). He was also such an avid bowler, that his bowling tournament winnings allowed him to buy the engagement ring he gave to his wife of 49 years. The daily serenading of his vegetable gardens lead to some of the most beautiful harvests ever seen. He was also able to take his career, as an Operations Manager in the electronic distributions industry into his hobbies as he was known to build desktop computers from scratch. His love for knowledge made him a self-proclaimed philosopher, always willing to have a good discussion. His advice was well received and was always spot on. Tony and his wife loved to travel to New Hampshire, their favorite place was the White Mountains which always brought them a great sense of peace. As a couple, another pastime that they truly enjoyed was raising German Shepherds.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his children Donna Sanita of Warwick, and Robert Manzolillo of Johnston.  He also leaves his three grandsons, that absolutely meant the world to him Kevin Sanita, Ryan Sanita, and Aidan Sanita; and also, a sister-in-law Carol A. Manzolillo. He was predeceased by his son James Manzolillo, and a brother Michael Manzolillo.
