Anita B. Regan, of Pawtucket, Passes at 97

Anita B. Regan, 97, passed away on October 17, 2021, in Pawtucket.  She was the devoted wife of the late Charles Regan.

She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Josephine (Beland) Thibaudeau. Anita lived most of her life in Pawtucket.

She is survived by her children Michael C. Regan of Pawtucket, Judith Tompkins of Attleboro, and Diane Ferreira of Pawtucket.  She also leaves four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Anita was the sister to the late Dorothy Gaudreau, Oscar Thibaudeau, Raymond Thibaudeau, and Rudy Thibaudeau. 

She was the owner and operator of the Triangle Lounge in Central Falls prior to retirement. Anita was a Den Mother for the Boy Scouts, a CCD teacher at Saint Leo’s, and she loved dancing and music.  During WWII she worked as a “Rosie the Riveter” at the Providence Shipyard.  She was also a founder of the Fairlawn senior center.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian burial on Thursday, October 21st, 2021, at 11 am in St. Cecilia’s Church, 745 Central Ave., Pawtucket, RI.

Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket.

Visiting hours will be Thursday from 9 am – 10:30 am, prior to the Mass in the Costigan-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage St. Pawtucket.
