Altagracia Santana, of Providence, Passes at 74

Altagracia Santana, 74 of Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by family Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Rhode Island Hospital.

Born in the Dominican Republic, she was a daughter of the late Leopoldo Santana and Enersida Sanchez.

She is survived by her son, Richard Flores, his wife Astrid, and two beloved granddaughters, Astrid Sophia and Mila. Altagracia is also survived by her devoted life partner of over 20 years, Joao Costa Da Silva. She was the beloved sister of Yolanda Santana, Leopoldina Pena, Carmen Dilia Pelletier, Aracelis Valdera, Orquidia Nieves, Juan Leopoldo Santana, Cecilia Medina, Cornelio Santana, Kuki Santana, Cabrini Maldonado and Fatima Puesan.

Altagracia was a loving mother, best sister, dear and caring grandmother. She was ever so proud of her beautiful granddaughters. She was very grateful, sensible, sensitive, compassionate, empathetic, and caring. She will be deeply missed and remembered for being full of life and her sense of humor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service Wednesday at 12:00 noon in Woodlawn Funeral Home, 600 PontiacAvenue, Cranston, RI 02910, and may visit prior to her funeral service from 10:30-12:00 noon. 

Burial will be private.
