Alice Marie (Johns) Rich, of Cumberland, Passes at 88

Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Daniel D. and Ella ( O’Brien ) Johns.
Alice worked for New England Telephone for 41 years retiring in 1991. After retirement, Alice would care for her beloved and cherished grandchildren.

Strong in faith, she was a communicant of St. Joan of Arc Church in Cumberland and a former communicant of St. Augustine Parish in Providence.
Alice is survived by her children, Mary R. Dubosky and her husband David of Cumberland, John J. Rich and his wife Jennifer of Pawcatuck, CT, James M. Rich and his wife Lynn of Smithfield, Thomas F. Rich with whom Alice made her home. Alice was Nana to Stephanie L. Rich, Mark J. Rich, Douglas D. Dubosky, Zachary D. Dubosky, Julia K. Rich, Kathryn M. Rich, and Lila J. Rich.
Alice was pre-deceased by her siblings John McVarish, Eileen Votta, Mary McCormick, Catherine Maulden, and Daniel E. Johns.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 29, 2021, at 10:00 am in St. Joan of Arc Church, Mendon Road, Cumberland.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are respectfully omitted.
