Local Radio On-Air Personality Jeffrey Arthur Oakland Dies at 65

Oakland, Jeffrey Arthur, 65, of Cumberland, passed away on July 22, 2021, at home.
He was the beloved husband of Karen (Hemple) Russell Oakland.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a resident of Cumberland for many years.
Jeff was formerly an On-Air personality for WPJB 105 in Westerly where he was one of the stars of the Jeff and Mutt Show. He later worked at WJAR and WPRO.
Known as an avid reader, Jeff enjoyed politics and was very attentive to the news broadcasts on MSNBC. He also enjoyed traveling all around his beloved State of Rhode Island and working in his yard.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his brother "Woody" Oakland.
His funeral will be private.
