Providence Police are investigating a shooting in the city on Sunday night.

According to police, a black SUV with tinted windows fled the scene of the shooting on Douglas Avenue.
Witnesses told police a male in a hooded sweatshirt shot the victim — a female — from the backseat of the vehicle.
Detectives are currently investigating.
