LIVE: Stages of Freedom's Dimmick Says “Bow Ties For Boys” Empowers Youth & Mentors

Robb Dimmick, Program Coordinator for Stages of Freedom, says the annual event Bow Ties for Boys is incredibly important for the mentors as it is for the children. 

Dimmick says the empowering event, Bow Ties for Boys, allows mentors to make an imprint on the lives of young people, that is really lasting. He says many mentors walk away feeling enriched and enlightened. 

For the young men involved, Dimmick says not only do they get to learn to tie a bow tie, they learn the proper way to shake hands, and they get to spend time with community mentors and make connections that may be just for the day or may last longer.
