LIVE: Julie Christina Says Blithewold’s Gardens Offer A Gateway To Spring
Friday, March 23, 2018
Education Program Manager at Blithewold Mansion, Gardens, and Arboretum Julie Christina says in April Blithewold becomes “The Gateway to Spring” opening their gates with a floral display covering the 33-acre seaside estate with over 50,000 daffodils.
Christina explains the 13 divisions of Daffodils are just the start of the parade of spring blossoms and blooms. May offers Tulips, Magnolia, Lilacs, and Forget-Me-Nots just to name a few. Some of the flowers are dated around 100 years old.
With a degree in Horticulture from Ohio State University, Christina started her own boutique floral design company, CHRISTINA Flower Co., where she focuses on weddings, workshops and special events.
