LIVE: Filmmaker Kenny Young Talks About Animated Dog Fighting Film, “Chance”
Wednesday, June 28, 2017
The inhumane sport of underground dog fighting is a worldwide problem, and Filmmaker Kenny Young hopes to bring awareness to the issue with his animated feature film “Chance."
The goal of the film is to “humanize” it’s lead character, a pit bull who was forced into dog fighting as a puppy, in hopes that people will connect with his story and empathize with the pain that fighting dogs must endure.
“The dog fighting world is much bigger than I thought’’ says Young about what he learned while researching for the film, “it’s around the world, from every social status, rich people do it, poor people do it, it’s everywhere."
