Centre Daily Times reporter Lori Falce says the Penn State University Board of Trustees will meet June 2 to discuss their response to the death of Timothy Piazza, who was a pledge at Beta Theta Pi.
Falce says, according to police, Piazza,19, fell at a fraternity party and no one called 911 for help until 12 hours had passed.
According to documents released by the Centre County District Attorney office, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and 18 brothers are charged in the death of Piazza, eight face manslaughter charges.

Falce says the Board of Trustees, placed a lifetime ban on Beta Theta Pi and the board has placed restrictions on Greek life at the university in relation to the death of Piazza.
Some of those steps have already resulted in another fraternity’s suspension. More changes to Greek life and campus policies could come as a result of the June 2 meeting.
Falce says most of the community response regarding Piazza’s death is “that it’s a horrible thing, it should have never happened, and it can’t happen again.”
She did say that there is a younger sector that believes one can’t dismiss the role of personal responsibility and that Piazza chose to go to the party.
