Kaplan Discusses RI’s Missed Opportunity to Innovate
Tuesday, July 11, 2017
Saul Kaplan, just off his organization's announcement of securing a $1 million grant from the Carnegie Corporation, told GoLocal LIVE that the state's budget and economic policies are a missed opportunity. Kaplan, who heads Business Innovation Factory (BIF), laments the state's opportunity to try new initiatives and develop new elements to the state's economy.
Last week, Kaplan announced BIF had landed a $1 million grant from Carnegie Corporation of New York to "help integrate the many fragmented innovation solutions, tools, and approaches being tried across the U.S. education system in order to transform student experience and produce better student outcomes."
