Former Democratic State Senator and Obama Administration official Tom Coderre, who now serves as a Senior Adviser to Governor Gina Raimondo, joined GoLocal News Editor Kate Nagle in studio to discuss fighting the opioid crisis in Rhode Island.
From prevention, to treatment and recovery, to emergency services, Coderre spoke to working with the opioid overdose task force and legislative priorities in 2018 -- which include at the federal level calling on President Donald Trump to enact the 55 of the 56 recommendations from his Opioid Task Force that have yet to be implemented.
