LIVE: Fairman Says Roger Williams Park Zoo’s Zoobilee is “One of Best Nights of the Year”
Wednesday, June 27, 2018
For nearly 30 years, Roger Williams Park Zoo has closed early one day per year for Zoobilee, Feast with the Beasts.
The event, which is the zoo’s largest annual fundraiser, is a fun-filled night of music, dancing, and food, all while getting up close to the zoo’s many animals.
Brooke Fairman, Director of Development at the zoo, calls it one of the greatest nights of the year.

Dozens of restaurants will be featured at this year’s Zoobilee event. The event is 21+ only, and will feature a range of summery, animal-themed alcoholic beverages for guests to sample.
Several musical acts will be performing, including the zoo’s own in-house band. Dancing is strongly encouraged, she said.
For those unable to attend the event but who still wish to be involved and support the zoo, the Zoobilee online auction will be live on the zoo’s website until July 11. The auction features dozens of great prizes, including a football signed by Rob Gronkowski, multiple behind-the-scenes opportunities at the zoo, getaway packages, and so much more.
Tickets to the event are $125 each to the public, though zoo members receive a discount. Those looking to make a greater impact can purchase a VIP ticket at a higher cost, which allows early admission into the event.
If you’re unable to attend this year’s Zoobilee, Fairman says the best way to support the zoo is to go and visit. By becoming a member or making a specific donation to a program or exhibit, you can help make sure the zoo continues to have cutting-edge conservation and education programs.
