Rhode Island State Representative Robert “Bob” Quattrocchi joined GoLocal News Editor Kate Nagle on GoLocal LIVE at the State House where he spoke to spearheading the special legislative commission to “Study the Efficiency and Cost of Implementing a Recycling Program for all Multifamily Residential Units.”

Quattrocchi spoke to the study commission’s look at the efficiency and cost of implementing a recycling program for all multifamily residential units. The commission at its first meeting in January discussed the scope of the commission and scheduled future commission meetings, when public testimony will be welcomed.

During the interview, Quattrocchi spoke to former House Minority Leader Patricia Morgan’s efforts to look at the expansion of recycling — and how he expected to get more information pertaining to the financial impact of implementing such a program, as it relates to existing tipping fees for trash for certain municipalities in Rhode Island.
