Providence Named Top Place for Sex by RealAge

Who's having great sex?
That was one of the questions asked by wellness Web site RealAge.com in its 2012 Youngest and Oldest Cities in America Report. And the lucky residents of Providence seem to be having quite a bit. So much so, in fact, that the capital city landed in the Top 10 nationally for Best Places for Sex for men and women.
Gender divide
The survey broke down active and rewarding sex lives along gender lines in the 2012 report. For women, Providence landed as the #8 best city for sex. For men, the city ranked even higher: #5.
For 2012, San Diego took top honors as the Best City for Sex for Men, followed by Miami, Las Vegas, and San Francisco. Behind Providence at #5 came Boston, Austin, New York, Orlando, and Denver.
For women, Knoxville, TN was the best sex city, followed by Tampa, Miami, Los Angeles, Houston, Orlando, and Sacramento. After Providence at #8 came Las Vegas and San Diego.
Sex keeps us young
"A great sex life has some anti-aging benefits," according to the introduction to the juiciest chapter of the study: the 10 Best Cities for Sex. "Sexual activity has only a limited effect on RealAge," said RealAge Chief Medical Officer Keith Roach, MD, "but everyone seems to be interested in it."
