Community leaders will be out in Providence helping distribute winter clothing donations to those in need on Thursday.

Amos House along, with United Way 2-1-1, have partnered with The U.nowversity for the 3rd Annual “Heat The Streets Winter Clothing Drive" which is held in memory of Leonardo Tillett, who passed away in 2018.

"In 2016, after viewing Leo’s social media post requesting volunteers to pass out winter coats to the homeless, without hesitation I responded to the post," said Larmie Coleman, CEO and manager of The U.nowversity LLC.

"Tragically the following year our community mourned the sudden loss of one of our elite creators behind the lens. Since then I, with the help from our tremendously giving community, have had the opportunity to continue the wonderful work my late dear friend Leo so proudly started," added Coleman.

"Keeping his legacy alive by meeting the needs of the underprivileged members in our community, with the same love and kindness he displayed. Last year's winter drive was a huge success thanks to the many supporters and volunteers," he added. "This year we are looking to be even more successful, by providing more winter essentials for those in need during this season. To meet our goals, we need your help to continue such progress and to be able to meet the needs of the homeless members of our community."

"All donations big or small are accepted and are greatly appreciated," he added.
