Recipe: Roast Turkey

Ingredients:
1 orange, quartered
2 medium onions, quartered
1 red apple, quartered
4-5 sprigs thyme
10-12 leaves sage
4-5 sprigs rosemary
1 stick butter, melted
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
Paprika, preferably smoked
Procedure:
Pre-heat your oven to 450° F. Prepare your turkey by patting it dry and placing it on a roasting rack inside a roasting pan. Place the orange, onion, apple, thyme, sage and rosemary inside the cavity. Brush the turkey with the melted butter, preferably a light coating. Sprinkle the entire exterior with salt, pepper and paprika to taste.
Insert your probe thermometer set the alarm to 160° F and place the turkey in the oven on the lowest rack level. Set your timer for 30 minutes and when it goes off lower the oven temperature to 350° F. Let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes, covered in aluminum foil.
