Cocktail Class at Farmstead
From the folks who made you love wine and cheese tastings like no other, there's an "Evolution of the Cocktail" class coming up this Sunday, August 21, at 5pm. La Laiterie's bar manager David Mangiantine is in charge, and you'll learn about some of hard liquors' heavy hitters: gin, rum, and vodka, as you learn five different cocktails. Champagne Mania
The wine lovers at Blush Winebar have popped up the fizziest innovation on the RI bar scene in a while: a Champagne Bar. Whether you're seeking a glass of Perrier Jouet Fluer ’02 or Santa Margherita Prosecco or want to share a bottle of Dom Perignon ’02 or Pol Roger with friends, you can find it here. More fun: Blush also offers a trio of champagne samplings, ranging from $20 to $150. Try the Prosecco Sampler, featuring Mionetto Brut, Mionetto Moscato Dolce, and Mionetto Sergio Rose, or take a taste of the “King of Kings” Sampler featuring Roederer Cristal, Dom Perignon, and Krug Grand Cuvee. For the intrepid: order one of Blush’s four Boom Boom Shots. These bubbly shooters are served with Moet & Chandon Imperial, ready for you to tap two times (Boom Boom) on custom serving boards.
