Channel 12 has a new anchor.

GoLocalProv has learned WPRI TV has hired Susan Roberts to replace Karen Adams who retired after a 21-year run on December 30th.

Roberts will co-anchor the 5pm, 6pm, and 11pm news with Mike Montecalvo.  Roberts is coming to RI from Washington, DC.  She worked as a Washington-based correspondent for CBS Newspath which is a service that provides CBS affiliates around the country with reports from Washington, DC.  News Director Joe Abouzeid said they are excited about their new addition. “We think Susan has a terrific combination of anchoring and reporting experience on important National stories as well as a terrific personality that viewers of Southern New England will love”.
