Americans Predicted to Spend Over $9 Billion on the Fourth of July
According to collected data, Americans are expected to spend around $9.8 billion on Independence Day festivities this year.
An estimated $1.6 billion will be spent on beer and wine, with $1 billion to be spent on beer alone.

In terms of food, Americans will spend a total of $6.7 billion on hamburgers, hot dogs and other barbecue provisions.
In 2017, Americans spent $804 million on beef, $371 million on chicken and $218 million on pork. Americans eat an average of 150 million hot dogs on the 4th of July each year.
Finally, $5.4 million worth of American flags will be imported into the country, most of which are made in China.
