23 of RI’s Top Funeral Homes Partner with GoLocal for No Cost and Longer Obituaries

Last month, GoLocal announced a new community-focused partnership — providing obituaries to Rhode Islanders at no cost.
This is a new partnership between many of the top funeral homes in Rhode Island and GoLocal.
Some newspapers charge upwards of $1,000 for obituaries, and for longer ones, they can cost as much as $3,000 or more.

GoLocal’s goal is to tell the story of Rhode Islanders.
Since the announcement of the new model — 22 of the top funeral homes have partnered with GoLocal. This allows these funeral homes to provide obituaries statewide and beyond for no charge.
“In less than a month, many of the best funeral homes in Rhode Island have signed onto partner with GoLocal. Now, they offer their families a great service -- they can publish their loved ones' obituaries without charge," said Josh Fenton, CEO and co-founder of GoLocal.
"We are honored to work with a group of great RI businesses," said Fenton.
In just the past few weeks, GoLocal has published more than 300 obituaries saving Rhode Islanders tens of thousands of dollars.
