Terrell originally committed to Oklahoma State, choosing the Cowboys over URI, Providence, and several other schools. He was granted a release from his letter of intent at OSU in late April and re-opened his recruitment.
Terrell visited Boston College on May 5th, and the Eagles were the presumed favorites to land him after hiring Preston Murphy away from URI as an assistant coach. He chose not to visit Providence, and at that point it was a 2-horse race. He visited Kingston on May 6th.
The 6’3” Terrell is a dynamic combo guard who will form one of the best young backcourts in the Atlantic 10 with fellow freshman Jarvis Garrett and 2013 A-10 Co-Rookie of the Year E.C. Matthews. His signing gives URI head coach
Dan Hurley another strong freshman duo to usher in the next chapter for the program.
