URI Hires David Cox as Assistant Basketball Coach

URI has hired David Cox as the newest member of the men's basketball coaching staff, head coach Dan Hurley and the Athletic Department announced today.
Cox spent the last 4 seasons on the staff at Rutgers as the associate head coach. He previously worked under John Thomspn III at Georgetown and Jamie Dixon at Pittsburgh.

Cox is well regarded for his ability to recruit the Washington D.C. area and its suburbs. He fills the hole on the Rhody staff left by Preston Murphy, who moved on to Boston College this offseason.
