URI Football had its worst loss ever in program history on Saturday, when it was crushed 84-7.

How bad were the stats? URI had 12 yards passing and 6 turnovers -- a 2 to 1 ratio.

It cannot get any worse. The University of Rhode Island football team was crushed, blasted, beat like a mule, and lost 84-7 to James Madison.

Worst Loss Ever

They have been playing football in Kingston since 1895 and this was the worst loss ever and the biggest loss any team has ever suffered in the Colonial Athletic Association history.

It has been along time since Tom Ehrhardt was leading the most powerful offense in college football -- 30 years to be exact. Now, URI football is record setting — embarrassingly record setting.

Here are some of the stats for Saturday’s crushing defeat.

Passing Yards

URI 12

James Madison 309

Rushing Yards

URI 97

James Madison 319
