URI Falls to UNC Wilmington 11-7, Face Elimination Today

The University of Rhode Island baseball team fell 11-7 to UNC Wilmington on Saturday evening in the NCAA Regional. The loss pushes URI tot he brink of elimination.
The game
URI took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the third when Mike Corin hit a home run to give URI their first lead of the game, having previously trailed 5-2.

First, it was Robbie Thorburn who led off the 4th inning with a home run to right.
Then in the 5th, Zack Canada his a three run home run to put UNCW up 10-6.
UNCW would add one more run and so would URI but for the Rams it was not enough.
Next up
URI will now face South Carolina in an elimination game on Sunday at noon time. The winner of that game will take on UnCW at 6 p.m.
