Starks Scores 35 Again as Bryant Tops Dartmouth 87-75

Dyami Starks scored 35 points for the 2nd consecutive game, and Bryant used a 16-4 run off the opening tip to go on to defeat Dartmouth 87-75 on Wednesday night.
Starks shot 10-18 from the field, including 5-8 from 3-ponit range. His 35 points matched his career high set in the season opener against Gonzaga on Saturday. The junior guard averaged 17.7 points per game last season as a sophomore.

Leading the charge for the Big Green were Alex Motila (15 points), Gabs Maldunas (14 points, 11 rebounds), and Tyler Melville (13 points).
Both teams secured 31 rebounds and Dartmouth actually had more assists, steals, bench points, and fewer turnovers than the Bulldogs. Bryant’s shooting advantage helped them overcome those shortcomings as well as a sizeable shot attempt disadvantage.
The Bulldogs shot 59% from the floor (29-49), 43% from 3-point land (6-14), and 82% from the free-throw line (23-28). The Big Green shot 48% from the field (29-61), 41% from 3 (9-22), and a paltry 46% from the charity stripe (10-22).
Bryant moves to 1-1on the season. Dartmouth falls to 1-1.
