Sky Chiefs Roll Brooklyn 133 - 73

The Providence Sky Chiefs (12-4) defeated the (1-9) Brooklyn Sky Rockets 133 - 73 on Saturday night at Brown University's Pizzitola Center. The Sky Chiefs have now won three straight games and continue to climb the power rankings. 

Total Domination

"We proved we can run, we kept the pressure on them and took advantage of the good shots that we were getting," said Sky Chiefs head coach Kyle Ivey-Jones after the game.

The game was never in doubt as the Sky Chiefs were on top of their game right from the get go, jumping out to a 31-8 lead in the first quarter. The Sky Chiefs would be up 40-8 after the first quarter and 72-22 at the half. 

Providence was led in the game by former URI Ram Orion Outerbridge who had 22 points in the game while Mark Alexander and Shane DaRosa followed up with 19 points each. 

Huge Test Upcoming

The Providence Sky Chiefs hit the road next week when they visit the defending champions and number one team in the ABA, the Shreveport Mavericks. The Mavericks are 18-0 on the season and own a professional basketball record of 78 straight victories.  The Mavericks have not lost a home game in five years.
