The Providence Sky Chiefs, now of the Premier Basketball League, make their season debut on Sunday, January 10 at Johnson and Wales University at the Wildcat Center. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
This season, the Sky Chiefs return six players from last year's team, including leading scorer and Pawtucket native Shane DaRosa who averaged 17 points per game and earned all-league honors in Providence's first season.
The Sky Chiefs also return University of Rhode Island alums Ryan Brooks and Jason Francis, both of whom started last season. A third URI alum has been added to the team in Parfait Bitee, who was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Year while at URI and is in his seventh professional season.

Jason Francis, 6'10", 310, C

The Sky Chiefs big man returns to the starting lineup after proving to be an inside presence last season.
Mark Alexander, 6'3", 175, F
Clark University (MA)
Alexander is a Providence native, who returns to the Sky Chiefs lineup after averaging in double figures in 2014-15. A four time NEWMAC All Conference Selected at Clark University, he was named the school’s top male athlete.
DeShaune Green, 6'7",201. F
Mt. Olive (NC)
A returning starter, Green averaged in double figures and had the game-winning shot at the buzzer in the 2015 BENRUS Pro Basketball Championship.
Corey Evans, 6'3", 175, F
Cincinnati Christian U
Evans joins the Sky Chiefs after playing for the NC Coyotes in 2015 where he led the team in scoring (25 ppg).
Brandon Dawson, 6'6", 220, F
Kennesaw State (GA)
Dawson enters his first professional season after averaging double figures at Division I Kennesaw State. Dawson is known for his athleticism.
Corey Wright, 6'0", 165, PG
Long Island University
Wright in double figures for the Sky Chiefs in the inaugural season.While at Long Island, Wright led the nation in assists.
Parfait Bitee, 6'2", 185, PG
University of RI
Bitee enters his 7th season playing professionally after a collegiate career in which is was named to the A-10 All Defensive Team.
Shane DaRosa, 6'0", 165, G
Bristol CC
DaRosa was the Sky Chiefs 2014-15 leading scorer and top 3-point shooter in 2014-15, averaging 17.2 points per game. DaRosa is from Pawtucket.
Ryan Martin, 5'9", 165, PG
UMaine/Keene
Martin was named Mr. Basketball in Maine, and went on to lead the nation (across all divisions) in free throw percentage in back-to-back seasons at Keene (shot 96%).
Ladaris Green, 6'10" , 230, F/C
Dalton State (GA)
2015 NAIA Player of the Year and Southern States Athletic Conference Player of the Year.. Led the nation in rebounds
