REPORT: U.S. Men’s Soccer to Play Brazil at Gillette Stadium

The United States men's national team will face five time world champion Brazil on September 8 at Gillette Stadium, according to reports. The game would be the second game for the men's national team in three months at Gillette Stadium after beating Haiti 1-0 on Friday, July 10.

This game would also mark the United States's second match in the month of September with a September 4 match against Peru in Washington D.C. already scheduled.

The Brazil Football Confederation has said their national team will play twice in the United States in September, once against Argentina and then against an unspecified opponent.

U.S. vs. Brazil

The United States is 1-16 all time against Brazil with their only win coming in the 1998 Gold Cup.

The last meeting between Brazil  and the U.S. came in 2012 in Landover, Maryland when Brazil cruised to a 4-1 victory.

However, the United States is 17-2-5 all time at Foxboro and Gillette Stadium.

Brazil is currently ranked sixth in the FIFA World Rankings.
