Kids on Hand to Celebrate
The parade celebration wasn't just for the adults in Red Sox Nation. Everywhere you turned, there was a kid waving a pennant, holding up a sign, or playing a hero's intro on their trusty vuvuzela.
Werner's Got the Goods
The Red Sox ownership group was on one of the first boats in the procession, and here's Tom Werner hoisting the World series trophy to the delight of the fans.
Management is Next
John Farrell and the managerial staff followed Cherington's boat. Here the manager trades the "thumbs up" sign with fans in the crowd.
A Hero's Welcome
Farrell received one of the loudest ovations of anyone in the procession.
More Pedroia
Pedroia looked as scruffed and bearded as ever on Saturday. Someone's little girl was having a blast waving that flag around.
Singing Sox
Juan Nieves' boat led the crowd in a karaoke-style rendition of Bob Marley's "Everything's Gonna Be Alright."
Here Comes the Beard
Jonny Gomes predictably received one of the loudest ovations at the parade.
More Gomes
Gomes didn't fulfill any of the numerous requests for him to punt a beer into the crowd, but his daughter looked awfully cute next to her Dad's sign.
Adjusting the Shades
In reassuring news, neither Saltalamacchia nor Craig Breslow had to make a throw to 3rd base on Saturday. Too soon? Ok, sorry, my bad.
Here Comes Dubront
The flying heads were out again as Felix Dubront's boat came up the street. Speaking of which, do you think all these guys planned the beanie/sun glasses combination together?
Wally Waves
You're NEVER too old to love Wally folks. Especially when he has a better beard than you do.
Lackey and Buchholz
John Lackey got a huge ovation from the Boston fans in attendance. How times have changed.
Carp Reverses the Camera
Mike Carp took pictures of us taking pictures of him. Call it pic-ception, beard style.
Ross Shines (literally)
Unsung World Series hero David Ross "left the top down" on Saturday.
Fan Favorite
Language barriers go out the window when hundreds of fans are chanting your name.
More Confetti
The last boat in line fires more confetti into the crowd. One of the colonial era Boston natives somehow managed to make an appearance (see left)
Rounding the Corner
The scene at the Boylston/Tremont intersection was a borderline mosh pit of fans.
Go Sox! Give us Money!
There were plenty of vendors ready to suply any fans that needed more Sox apparel.
Lining the Bridge
Fans waited all along the Longfellow Bridge for the duck boats to come down the Charles River.
The Best View Possible
Fans were willing to risk safety in order to get a better glimpse of the procession down the Charles.

Among the fans' signs: "Thank You Red Sox"
My old professor John Rooke used to say "Keep it simple stupid." He was right. Spot on emotions with those 4 words from Red Sox Nation and the city of Boston.
