"We had a great season, it was a tough season, but we fought through it. I feel confident about the game in Stellows Stadium," said 49ers assistant coach, Carlos Lamarque of his team that went 8-1 in the regular season.

Scouting the Knights

The Walpole Knights beat Connecticut on Sunday, November 16th to advance to the New England title game themselves and keep their undefeated season alive.

"The way I seen the game today they are a very well coached and composed type of team with terrific defense. It should be a well rounded game, sought of a chess match for the both of us. I think we are more aggressive on the offensive front, should be good game," coach Lamarque said about Walpole's team. "We just got to play our ball, our game, " Lamarque added about the team's strategy.

Non-profit and needing a boost

The 49ers are a non-profit organization that will need financial help getting to Florida if they do win on Sunday.

"They are out there right now, they aren't playing playstation, they are out there collecting," Lamarque said about his team, who have been trying to get a head start on raising money for the potential trip.

Countdown to gameday

The 49ers will have a week of preparation before heading up to face the Walpole Golden Knights in New Hampshire for the New England Title game and a trip to Florida.

As Lamarque said, "At the end of the day I'm doing this for the kids, it's not for me, it's not for the money. I'm doing it for the kids."
